LENYTH JANN MAHINAY
Senior Associate
Jann’s legal journey began while she was still in law school, where she worked full-time at a government body focused on human rights violations, trained as a paralegal at a law firm, and ventured into real estate buy-and-sell. These early experiences laid a strong foundation for her legal career, equipping her with a broad skill set and versatility across multiple practice areas.
With a passion for real estate law, Jann handles title transfers, estate settlements, foreclosure proceedings, reconstitution of lost titles, and ejectment cases. She also provides consultancy services for residential and commercial condominium properties.
As the head of the associates in AJA Law’s supply chain team, Jann deals with industry transactions such as customs seizure and forfeiture cases, post-clearance audits, claims for duties and tax exemptions, and refund applications. She secures accreditations, licenses, and permits for importers and exporters and consults for companies in agriculture, oil and gas, e-commerce, manufacturing, warehousing, cold storage, freight forwarding, and trucking operations.
In her corporate law practice, Jann handles end-to-end business registrations, corporate housekeeping, contract creation and negotiation, corporate due diligence, and regulatory compliance for a variety of companies. She has worked on mergers and acquisitions, company liquidation, and dissolution. Her consultancy spans industries such as real estate, transportation, brokerage, lending, trade, energy, food and beverage, luxury goods, and consumer health products.
Jann also represents clients in cases before various government agencies, including labor disputes, intellectual property violations, and deportation cases. Her ability to communicate confidently allows her to excel in out-of-court settlements, where she helps clients resolve disputes amicably through dialogue and negotiation.
Beyond her legal career, Jann enjoys playing badminton and diving into history books and period films. While she appreciates dining out, nothing beats the comfort and flavor of a home-cooked meal, especially when shared with loved ones.
