GUIA MARLON LIBOT

Associate

Guia graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she also earned her Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Guia honed her research skills as a Research Assistant at the UP Law Center’s Institute for Maritime Affairs and Law of the Sea, contributing to policy development in collaboration with local and international partners. She also gained practical experience in labor law while working for a human resource consultancy, where she helped SME clients address employee concerns and navigate workplace challenges.

After passing the bar, Guia returned to her hometown in Cagayan de Oro City to practice law at a boutique firm. There, she focused on litigation, handling a variety of civil cases—including disputes over deeds, donations, and property titles—and criminal cases such as psychological abuse and grave threats. Guia also supported MSME clients by drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts, as well as advising on labor and human resource matters.

Currently, Guia is deepening her litigation expertise at AJA Law, where she has worked on complex cases involving family law, medical jurisprudence, and property disputes. Her practice is distinguished by a meticulous approach to understanding her clients’ needs and navigating intricate legal frameworks. She is particularly drawn to cases that intersect with evolving industries and dynamic legal challenges.

Outside of work, Guia is passionate about advocating for children’s right to education—a commitment she cultivated during her undergraduate years. When not in the office, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, and exploring lesser-known spots rich in history, art, and nature. Guia also cherishes time with her family and their seven dogs when she’s back home, striking a balance between her professional life and meaningful personal connections.
