PEARL GANZON ALCANTARA

Partner

Pearl started her law career as an associate at a medium-sized firm, where she worked for six years before becoming a founding partner of AJA Law. Throughout her career, she has managed over 35 corporations and gained extensive experience in intellectual property and a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. Pearl specializes in corporate compliance for various entities, including domestic and foreign companies, branch/representative offices, condominium corporations, pharmaceutical companies, non-profits, educational and religious institutions, and companies regulated by the Civil Aeronautics Board, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Clark Development Council, Philippine Economic Zone Authority, and Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board.

Her exposure to corporate tax and intellectual property work across diverse industries allows her to assist clients with compliance, contracts, corporate restructuring, and more specific projects such as FDA product recalls, licensing, and confidentiality/trade secret cases. She has also handled property disputes, internal company issues, and complex family/estate matters. Pearl has worked with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines and the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines, where she has been a speaker on intellectual property protection involving NFTs in the Web 3.0 Metaverse.

During AJA Law’s early years, Pearl found joy and fulfillment in working with local entrepreneurs, startups, creatives, and young innovators. Her background and passion for the arts drive her to explore creative and out-of-the-box legal solutions. She combines her expertise in intellectual property, corporate tax, and local government compliance with industry-specific knowledge to offer practical, client-centered strategies. These include creating bespoke due diligence reports on brand analysis and protection, using both legal and commercial lenses.

As a partner, Pearl enjoys building the IP and Immigration Department, growing the Corporate and Tax Department, and overseeing the Firm’s marketing projects. She also contributes to the Firm’s efforts to revolutionize legal operations through technology and data analytics and plays a key role in shaping the Firm’s unique culture.

Pearl wears many hats in law and business, but she believes that her role as a hands-on mom of two young children has made her more adaptable and resilient. She remains a creative spirit with a love for travel, stories, and the finer, meaningful things in life.
